We treat children's data with care. Here's the short version: we collect the minimum we need to give you good stories, we never sell anything, and you can delete your data any time.
What we store
- The characters and worlds you create (their text descriptions and any photos you upload).
- The stories you generate (text, scaffolds, painted scenes if you've upgraded).
- Your account email and Stripe customer reference if you have a subscription.
- Anonymous usage analytics (which features get used, error logs).
What we don't do
- Sell or share your data with advertisers.
- Train third-party AI models on your stories or photos.
- Show ads to children.
- Track children across other websites or apps.
Photos
When you upload a photo to create a character, we send it to a vision model only to extract general features (hair colour, build, outfit style). The photo itself is stored privately on your account, used as a reference for painted scenes you choose to render, and deleted on request.
Children under 13
Fables is intended to be used by parents and guardians with their children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children directly. If you're a parent concerned about data your child may have entered, contact us and we'll remove it.
Your controls
- Export your collection at any time.
- Delete characters, stories, photos, or your whole account.
- Set any story to private; share links require your action.
